The Waiting Game

Sorry for my absence...I haven't had much to report or to share. It's now five days after baby's due date and no baby. She is already on L.A. time and will be here fashionably late! This is all a test of my patience, which I already have little of. I'm trying to rest, keep busy, but it's hard not to think about it. I am so longing to meet our baby that with each passing day, it makes it hard to wait. I have my OB appointment tomorrow. Hopefully, there will be some good news. As much as I didn't want to be induced, at this point, I would welcome it.
Not much on the papercrafting front. I've been working on two Yo Gabba Gabba chipboard albums. I'll post them on my Etsy store as soon as I'm done with them. I also went on a scrapbooking shopping spree yesterday. I bought this really cute set of Halloween paper...I'll be working on Halloween chipboard albums as well. I made a few last year and they came out really cute. This paper is a lot cuter than what I used last year.
Hoping you are having a great week.
Blessings,
Beth

Berry Sweet Friday

TGIF! It's been a long week for Jonas and I. Tomorrow is Grace's official due date, but it doesn't look like she will be making her debut just yet. Frustrating, but trying to keep myself busy. It's been a tough week...our air conditioning wasn't working just as the weather starting get hot! And we visited the hospital Thursday night at 4am...false alarm! So we were pretty tired. Plan for the weekend, stay cool and rest.
So to keep myself busy and not focus on trying to predict when baby will be born, I have been scrapbooking. I thought up of a new chipboard album idea...a strawberry! And thanks to my Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge, here it is!

This was such a fun album to make. I love it! I used the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge for the template. I've posted this album for sale on my Etsy store.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Blessings,
Beth

Cupcake Obsession

I love making these cupcake shaped albums. They are so much fun for me to create. This one's a little larger than average. And I just posted it for sale on my Etsy store.

Cute, huh? I used paper from The Sweet Life. Embellishments were mostly from The Sweet Life and DCWV Sweet collection.
This week feels like it is going by slow! One of my co-workers had her baby last night...a baby boy weighing in at 10lb 4 oz!!! That's one big baby! This is the year for babies! I'm one of 11 people I know who are having babies this year! I'm so looking forward to Grace's debut!
Blessings,
Beth

Birthday Cards

We had a great weekend. Lots of rest and a great church service this morning. Jonas and I have been going to this wonderful church in Irvine called the Village. The pastor is great and its such a warm community of folks. We are looking forward to getting plugged in.
After a long nap, I was inspired to create this afternoon. I made two birthday cards. A male themed one and a girl themed one. I wanted to use my embossing folders. I invested in several and use them sparingly...and my Copic markers fall in the same category. I used both with these two cards.
I used a Hero Arts stamp for the image and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I love this stamp...the little girl is adorable.
For this card, the image and sentiment is from Papertrey's Enjoy the Ride stamp set and I used the Quickcutz Diamonds and Dots embossing folder.
I'm less then a week away from my due date. I hope baby comes sooner than later. I been really uncomfortable, unable to sleep, contractions, etc...as my OBGYN said, "Welcome to the third trimester." Nice! It will be over soon enough and I will be holding my little bundle of joy.
Blessings,
Beth

Disney Lovers!

I love Disney and I'm afraid I rarely go...but I do spend a lot of time making Disney themed albums! I just finished a Disney Princess castle shaped album for a really cute gal's first birthday. It was so much fun to make. I was so inspired that I finished two Disney accordion albums today. Just listed them on Etsy.

I used EK success Disney accordion albums. Each album is 6x6 inches and is decorated with Disney paper and embellishments. Each album has 16 layouts and fits 16 pictures. Not bad for a 6x6 album. I'm trying to get as much done before the baby is born...up next, Christmas premade albums. Might be a little challenging to get into the Christmas spirit in the middle of the summer. Our weather right now is in the 70's...that might help!

Beth

Yo Gabba Gabba!

I recently found out about the Yo Gabba Gabba phenomena. From what I hear, it's the rage among toddlers. I suppose I will be entering that world soon enough...less then two weeks left for baby's due date! I decided to create a Yo Gabba Gabba themed chipboard album. I posted it on Etsy Sunday night and before I had time to tell you all about it, it sold! I didn't think it was going to sell so fast. I had a lot of fun making the album. I'm glad someone will be enjoying it.

Came out cute, huh? I used primary colors and the stickers are from a seller on Ebay. I did do some research before I created the album...found out that "There's a party in my tummy" is a popular Yo Gabba Gabba saying. I have enough supplies to make a another album...watch for it on my Etsy store.
Blessings!

Preggo and Baby Stuff

I've been busy, busy, busy trying to get caught up and ready for this baby! I am finally caught up on my scrapbooking. I finished the scrapbook of Jonas' baby pictures. More layouts to share soon. And I am caught up with my pregnancy scrapbook. All that is left there is when I go into labor and deliver. Crazy! I could be going into labor any day now! I'm dilating and I'm halfway effaced. I know it could still take a while, but it's exciting to know that my body is getting itself ready for the big event! Here's the layout of me at nine months pregnant.
I love this paper that I have been using. It's from Creative Imaginations. They also came out with paper for after the birth...really cute stuff!!
I saw an idea in the latest Scrapbook Etc. magazine (the August 2010 edition) for a baby keepsake. They used an advent calendar from Kaisercraft. I thought it was such a cute idea! I had the same paper and embellishments they used on theirs so I thought, I can make one for Grace too!! I ordered the advent calendar from Joanns.com (cheapest price on the web). Here is my version:
Really cute, huh? I used paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursery. I cut out the letters from the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and used various little embellishments that I've been collecting. The only thing that was a pain was painting the base white. Jonas gave me lessons on hoq to prime and use spray paint. I did not enjoy it! But it came out great and it's already up in Grace's room. It looks really cute. I can't wait to start filling it up with little keepsakes.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous Fourth of July!
Blessings,
Beth
