Preggo Pictures

I really wanted to have professional pregnancy pictures, but Jonas thought it would be best to save the money and have professional pictures taken of Grace. Okay! Fine! So, I made him the photographer!! :-) These will be the last pictures of my preggo body that we will take. 37 weeks/month 9! I still have a lot of really cute pregnancy themed paper and embellishments. I'm looking forward to scrapbooking the pictures. Here's two of the pictures we took.

Not totally professional quality, but still cool. I feel so big and so ready to pop. Lots of sleepless nights right now. But I'm sure it will all be worth it. I'm especially looking forward to the first time I will be able to hold Grace in my arms. How cool will that moment be?!?!?!

Happy Friday!

It's been a great week of rest and scrapbooking! Love it! I also did some cleaning. It's amazing how easily I get tired these days and how messy two dogs can be...Jonas says that's nothing compared to what kids will do to our house. I had to spread out the house cleaning throughout the week. I cooked every single one of our meals this week. And I lost three pounds from last week at my OBGYN check up. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow...baby will now be considered full term. Last night, I was having some serious Braxton Hicks contractions! It's amazing to think that any day now, I could go into full labor and be holding this baby girl in my arms. Sweet!
So I've been scrapbooking a lot this week. And enjoying every minute of it. I've caught up on my pregnancy album. Here are pictures of some of the layouts.

These layouts were really fun to make, especially with such cute paper and embellishments. Hopefully, one day Grace will enjoy this album, but I suppose it's more of a keepsake for me. Hope you have a wonderful weekend...I'm indulging Jonas and going with him to the Barrett Jackson car auction in Costa Mesa tomorrow. He loves watching these auctions on TV and they are coming to Orange County. He'll be like a kid in a candy shop, but without any money!!!
Blessings,
Beth

Summer Vacation!

Ahhh, I'm on summer vacation. I already feel rested and relaxed. Love it! I hope I don't get bored, which I have a propensity to do. Jonas and I talk about the possibility of me staying home or working part time when Grace is born, but he seriously thinks I won't be able to handle it. That I would get too bored. Ha! I'm sure I can keep myself busy. I have so many scrapbook projects in mind...enough to keep me busy for a while!
I'm officially nine months pregnant now. The baby could come any day now. We've got our hospital bag packed and ready to go. I've been having a hard time sleeping and I've been experiencing lots of Braxton Hicks. I wonder if she will be early! I can't wait to meet her!
I've been scrapbooking! I've got a few projects that I want to finish before the baby is born. I have a feeling I won't be doing much scrapbooking for a while once she is born. I've been working on a album of Jonas' baby pictures. He was a cute baby!! Here's what I"ve done so far.

Cute, right? I hope Grace comes out just as cute as Jonas was as a baby! Cute chubby cheeks! These layouts were super fun to make. I also added scriptures to the layouts and plan on adding more to the rest of the layouts. Jonas' dad sent us a lot of pictures of Jonas growing up...more than enough to fill a scrapbook album. It's my goal to finish the album before Grace is born...good luck to me!
Hope you are having a great week!

Cards in a Jiffy...

We had a good weekened...except for the Lakers' loosing game 2 of the finals to Boston. Not good. But so much more on my mind right now that I find myself not as emotionally involved this time around. Probably a good thing.
I needed to make some cards this weekend...two graduations cards and two baby cards. I stuck to an easy layout design and cranked them out.
I made two of these baby boy cards. I used paper from Heidi Grace. The stamped image is from Papertrey Ink's Baby Buttons stamp set. I love this set! I liked how this card came out. I'm planning on making a chipboard album with this paper.
This graduation card is a little different from the other's I've made, but I decided to step out of the box. The paper is from a pack of paper that I bought at Ross...Yes, at Ross! They often have scrapbooking supplies in their stationary section. The paper is from DCWV Woodlands collection. Again, stuck to simplicity in the design. The stamp is from the dollar section of Michael's. I love deals!! I spiced it up with copper glitter. Not bad, huh?
This is going to be a crazy week. Today is the day we get final grades for Seniors. I'm hoping my students who were on the bubble can come through with passing grades. And Thursday is graduation. This is always one crazy week!

Nursery Banner

It's been a busy Saturday for me...I am seriously nesting! I spent the morning cleaning. Jonas went to a Daddy Bootcamp class and came back inspired to get ready for the baby. He even installed the car seat! I spent the afternoon making this banner for Grace. It now hangs over the crib in the nursery.

I had so much fun making this banner. I used paper from K & Company. I cut out the scalloped squares and circles from the Cricut cartridge Mini Monograms. I used pink glittered paper for the letters and cut them out using the Alphalicious cartridge. I added buttons, brads, felt and paper flowers. I also cut out butterflies from the Walk In The Garden cartridge. I love how it came out and it goes perfectly in the nursery with the furniture and the bedding.
Here's the crib all decked out in the bedding. Love the bedding. Jonas picked it out. It's Cocalo's Mia bedding.
Hope you are having a great weekend! We're going over to a friend's house tomorrow to watch game two of the finals. Go Lakers!!!
Blessings,
Beth

Hump Day!

It's already Wednesday! Love it when I have short weeks. Last night, we put together our glider/rocker chair. Jonas emphatically told me this is the last item of furniture/baby stuff he is putting together for the rest of this week!! Okay, I'll give him a break. I love the glider! It matches all the furniture in the nursery and the cushions are a soft brown that match the bedding. We got a great deal for it on Target.com. Free shipping and it was on sale!! The nursey is coming along.
I made this chipboard album this week for all the beautiful cards we recieved at the baby showers. I didn't want to throw away the cards and didn't want to put them away in a box that I would probably store somewhere and eventually throw out. This way, I can display this in the baby's room. I used paper from DCWV's Nana's Nursey and the embellishment is from K and Company. I used a Fiskar's punch, added ribbon, buttons, and the scalloped circle is from a Cricut cartridge. Simple and easy.
I am going to add an insert on the back of the front cover listing the baby showers, dates, hosts, etc.
There were so many cards, I had to go out and buy larger ring binders. This is 1 1/2 inch ring binders.
Cute idea, right? I also made a boy themed one for my friend Eva who had her baby a little over a week ago. Here's the boy one...
I hope she loves it.
Blessings,
Beth

Cards and Cribs

Happy Tuesday! This is going to be a short week! I'm so happy...I have less than three weeks left of work before summer vacation! My favorite time of the year. I have a card to share and some pictures of Jonas and I putting together Grace's crib.

I made this card with a Papertrey Ink stamp set. Love it because I can make masculine cards with it. And it works for a wide arrange of themes. Love the vintage looking car.
And for some baby preparations. Jonas was great! After working a 60 hour week, he agreed to put together the crib last night. It took us about an hour. The nursery is coming along. We've got the crib, the dresser, a bookshelf in there. We're waiting for the glider/rocker to arrive. I've got some cute frames to put up...but I am planning on making some decorations for the room. Like a banner with her name on it. I'll share as that comes to fruition.
