Mother's Day Card

Mama's day is coming up! Am I officially a mama now? Or does that officially happen after the baby is born? Hmmmm! Well, I've already gotten an early Mother's Day gift from my hubbie...a diaper bag! Hmmm...well, at least its the one I wanted. Here's my mother's day card for this year... I made several of these for our moms and grandmothers. I used a Papertrey stamp for the flower and leaves and a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment. I glittered the flower and colored in the leaves with Copic markers. Classic and feminine. Like it?
We're going to have a good weekend! I have an appointment for a 4-D ultrasound tomorrow. Should be lots of fun!!
Blessings,
Beth
Happy Thursday! It's been a long week, but am so happy it's almost the weekend. Last night, Jonas and I had out first Lamaze class. It was good...and I closed my eyes during the short birthing video they showed us! I better start preparing myself for the inevitable!!
I've been crafting a lot lately! Making cards, scrapbook layouts, and chipboard albums! I guess I want to get as much done before the baby is born because I know that from then on, finding time to craft will be challenging. Here is a card I made last week...I actually made three of them. Cute, huh? Simple and not too hard to put together. The stamped image is from Papertrey Baby Button Bits, the sentiment from Hero Arts, and the paper from Imagininse. And I used a Fiskars border punch.
I love it when I am using my stamps! Now I just have to get back into my Copics! Wishing you a day filled with crafting!
Blessings,
Beth

Monday Madness!

Happy Monday!! It's been so beautiful around here. I love it! It's this time of the year that reminds us why we put up with traffic and high home prices to live in Southern California! And I'm officially in my 3rd trimester! It's down the homestretch for me now. Here I am with my belly!

I made this card for a friend. I used Papertrey stamps...Studio Style. I'd been itching to use this set. I like how the card came out...feminine and simple. Can't wait to use more of the images from this stamp set.

I also included this set of stickers in the card. I thought they were just too cute...stickers about scrapbooking!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
Blessings,
Beth

Weekend Bliss

I love weekends...especially when I can spend the whole day papercrafting! I have been working on a custom scrapbook project and I cranked out a ton of layouts today. It felt great! I have also been cranking out cards like crazy...graduation cards, Mother's Day cards, and birthday cards. I've been busy!!
I'm going to share the last layout to my childhood scrapbook that I've been working on...so glad to be done with it. This scketch from Valerie Salmon was my inspiration...
Again, I used K & Company paper and embellishments from their Wild Saffron line. This picture is from a trip to Mexico that I took with my family. We visited extended family. I think in this picture we were visiting a historical Catholic church. I'm not sure how old I am in the picture...looks like maybe 8???
Hoping you are having a great weekend!
Blessings,
Beth

Graduation Album

Here's a graduation album that I made last weekend. It spells out GRAD 2010. I made four of these and all four have already sold! I'm kicking around the idea of making more, but I just took on a custom scrapbook project that might take most of my time for the next few weeks!

I used embellishments from various companies...Recollections, Sandylion...most of them I bought from Michael's. The paper is really cool! Embossed, glittered...lots of texture. It's from DCWV. I might make two more for gifts if I have time. I liked how them came out and the feel the paper gave them.
It's almost Friday!!!! I'm really looking forward to this weekend! REST!
Blessings,
Beth

Spring is in the Air

We got a little rain yesterday and today. It was cool except for the traffic this morning...Southern Californians do not know how to drive in the rain!! Our roses have started to bloom...looks like we've got dark red, light red, pink, and white roses. It reminds me of growing up because our yard was surrounded by rose bushes.
I made these two cards in honor of Spring.

I used Hero Arts clear stamps for this card. Love the bee images. And I used my Copic markers to color in the grass...love when I can take them out. Makes me feel better about all the money I've spent.
I hope you are having a spectacular week! I'm in week 27 of my pregnancy. It's going by fast.
Blessings,
Beth

More Sketch Inspiration...

It was a great weekend! Lots of rest and some furniture shopping. I love Ikea! Great prices and great products. We bought a huge sofa and extra large ottoman for a great price. We are very happy, the couch looks great in our livingroom and it's super comfy! I set out this weekend to try my best to finish my baby scrapbook. I created two layouts with the help of Valerie Salmon's sketches. I love her blog! GotSketch.blogspot.com. Check it out...you'll be inspired!
This is sketch 98:

Here's my layout inspired by this sketch. It's a picture of my mom, my older brother and myself.

Here is sketch 58:

Here's my layout for this sketch... It's a picture of my dad and myself. I used paper and embellishments from K&Company Wild Saffron for both of these layouts. I'm using paper and embellies from this line for most of the layouts in this scrapbook. They look vintage and I love the colors and designs.
I'm so excited that it's Spring. I discovered on Saturday that our rose bushes are full of buds! We'll have beautiful blooming roses in not time. I know one of the bushes has red roses, but I have no idea what color the other ones will turn out to be. Looking forward to being surprised.
Blessings for a wonderful week!

It's Friday!! Oh Happy Day!!

Wow, this has been a long week! I'm in the homestretch of this school year and this part is suppposed to go by really fast!! Pretty soon I will be inundated with Seniors and their parents. I always hate the meetings where I have to tell them that they will not be graduating...lots of tears are always involved. Not fun! But I always get teary eyed at the graduation ceremony.
Well, on to better things...I'd like to share today two layouts that I did last weekend. I'm working on an album of my baby pictures. The pictures not only look vintage...they are vintage! I used paper from My Minds Eye for this layout. The paper is thick, embossed, and glittered. Love it! I am the third baby in this picture...the one in blue. I have no idea why my mother dressed me in blue! Maybe that's why I was a tomboy growing up!!
I used paper and embellishments from K&Company's Wild Saffron line. I love this collection and it has been perfect for this album
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!! It's suppposed to be nice and sunny down here in Southern California. We'll be doing sofa shopping!!
Blessings,
Beth

Sketch 99

I love visiting the Got Sketch blog by Valerie Salmon. I mean, seriously...we all need a little inspiration every now and then. I know I do. I love the sketches on this blog. When I'm feeling stuck, I visit this site for ideas. This is this week's sketch...Sketch 99: Cute, huh? So I decided to create a layout using this sketch. I love the simplicity of the sketch. I'm working on a scrapbook of my baby pictures and I thought this sketch would be perfect for this picture...
This is my brother and I. I used paper and embellishments from K&Company Wild Saffron line. Love how it came out.

Well, lots to do today...thanks for stopping in.
Blessings,
Beth

The week after...

My Spring break was fabulous! I rested, scraped, and travelled. Great combination. My husband and I took a trip to Santa Barbara for a few days. Sort of our last hurrah before the baby is born. It was wonderful. Great weather, food, and friends. I was sad to come home...and start work again. I have been so incredibly tired! And the baby has been moving around like crazy! She keeps me up at night...
I'm going to share a two layouts I made over the break. One of my goals was to finish my scrapbook of 2009...so these are the last two layouts. It sums up our trip to Sedona.
I tried to keep is simple and earthy. Sedona was beautiful and we had a very relaxing time. Ahhh, vacations!
Hope you are having a great week.
Blessings,
Beth

Spring Break Rocks!

Day two of my vacation and I am loving it! It's sunny outside and I feel rested. I'm spending the afternoon with the Scrapbook Divas for some scrapbook therapy. Before I'm off, I thought I'd share a cupcake chipboard album I made as a custom order for an Etsy customer.

I cut this album from the cupcake shape in the Cricut Celebrations cartridge. I used paper and embellishments from the DCWV Sweet collection. I also threw in a few from Colorbox's the Sweet Life. This was a fun album to create. It's for a 1 year old girl's birthday.
By the way, I have made two more of the Disney Princess Castle premade albums...they are listed for sale on my Etsy store. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
Beth

Happy Friday!

Oh blessed Friday! It's my last day of work before Spring Break!! Yes! I hope it goes by fast so I can start enjoying my vacation. Lots of rest and a trip to Santa Barbara are on tap for the week.
Here's a card I worked on last night. Lots of inspiration from one of Papertrey Ink's team members. And I used Papertrey stamps for this card too!
I used the In Bloom Papertrey stamp set. I used a Hero Arts clear stamp for the sentiment. And the dots were from a stamp I bought at a local stamp store...they are supposed to be "organic" stamps...
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!
Blessings,
Beth
