Hump Day Therapy

Wow! This week is half way over and the count down begins to Spring Break! To celebrate, I got in some scrapbook therapy tonight.

These are the pictures Jonas and I took this weekend. I couldn't wait to scrapbook them! I had a hard time getting started, but once I did, I enjoyed it. And I kept it simple! I used embellishments from Creative Imaginations pregnancy line. And the mini titles are from Sandylion.
Off to bed!
Blessings,
Beth

Pregnancy Picture

I'm 24 weeks into my pregnancy and enjoying every moment! I'm really starting to feel the baby move a lot and on Saturday, Jonas felt her move too. It was a great moment. I've been working on the baby registry and it is hard work! Very overwhelming! My friend Linda came over on Sunday and she helped me fill in the gaps. There were so many things I would not have thought of like different types of bottles, pacifiers, etc. I was very thankful for her help.
I love this picture! And we did not plan on both wearing pink tops and black bottoms...it just happened! I am going to have a lot of fun scrapping this picture.
Hope you have a fabulous week! As for me, one more week then it's Spring Break! Jonas and I are planning a little getaway to Santa Barbara. I'm looking forward to it.
Blessings,
Beth
P.S. The Castle Chipboard album has already sold! I will make more...

Disney Princess Chipboard Album

When I first thought of making a castle shaped chipboard album, I didn't initially think of making it a Disney princess themed album. My friend Jessica gave me the idea and I ran with it.
I used the castle shape from the new Cricut "Once Upon A Princess" cartridge. I cut out the shapes on thick chipboard. I used purple, two shade of pink, and a purple glittered paper for the front cover.

I love how this album came out. I featured Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. The paper is from the EK Success Disney line and embellishments are from the SandyLion Disney line. This album is now posted on my Etsy store.

Beth

O lazy Saturday!

This is a much deserved nothing to do Saturday. And my beloved husband has done laundry, vacummed and the dishes. He sure knows how to take care of his pregnant wife! It was a long week...
Yesterday, myself and two friends threw a baby shower for our friend Eva. We got together several times to make the invitations, centerpieces, and an album with "Advise for the Mom to Be" cards. It was lots of fun and Eva loved it. It was a surprise and she had no idea!

We had a lot of fun prepping for the party and the party itself was a lot of fun too. Hope you have a wonderfully restful weekend!!
Blessings,
Beth

Doggie Chipboard Album

Here it is! One of the two dog themed chipboard albums that are now posted for sale on my Etsy store.

I used DCWV paper from their Pet's Stack collection. The embellishments are from various companies. Cute, huh?
It's going to be a crazy day tomorrow. Full day of student meetings and then Report Card night. I'm already salivating for the weekend...although, it will be tax day for us on Saturday...oh boy!!
Blessings,
Beth

Baby Boy Carriage Album

Here's the baby boy carriage shaped album I made for a baby shower. Isn't it cute? There's not as much cute boy stuff as there is girl stuff, so I'm glad to add to the boy side.

I used paper from a variety of lines...DCWV Nana's Kids, Heidi Grace, and two other lines that I don't remember...
It's been a crazy week! We are being visited right now by WASC and we have report card night on Thursday. I will be very glad when this week is over. I finished two dog themed chipboard albums tonight...will be posting on my Etsy store soon...
Blessings,
Beth

Vacation!

I seriously need a vacation! I'm counting down to Spring Break...about 2 more weeks. Ahhh, one of the perks of working in education. Jonas and I are trying to decide on a getaway destination for that week. I absolutely LOVE Santa Barbara...that's probably where we will head to for a few days of R&R.

I am trying to catch up on all my scrapbooking projects before the baby arrives. I'm currently working on my scrapbook for 2009. I have pictures from our Thanksgiving trip to Sedona to scrapbook then I can move on to the other books I'd like to finish.

I can't remember the name of the company that this scrapbook paper came from...I bought it at Big Lots as a kit a while ago. It came with paper, embellishments, letters, etc. I did add vacation-themed stickers from K & Company. I liked that this paper fit our trip perfectly, because our trip to Sedona was a road trip. I remember that the drive from California to Phoenix was long and boring!

I bought this paper at Ross! And I also don't remember the name of the paper company...I want to say it was American Crafts, but can't say for sure.
I hope you have a fabulous week! I have some more projects up my sleeve for this week and more catching up on scrapbooking. Can't wait to share!
Blessings,
Beth

Baby Carriage...So Sweet!

I must admit that a lot of my papercrafting these days tend toward baby themes...I made two chipboard albums this week...one girl themed and one boy themed. Today I'll share the girl themed one. It's so cute and it's listed for sale on my Etsy store.

Isn't this album so adorable?! I love it! I will be sure to make more for my baby girl when she comes along. I used paper from a Me and My Big Ideas paper pad. Some of the paper is glittered, flocked, and embossed. Really cool texture to the paper. The embellishments mostly came from the Costa Mesa Scrapbook Expo. I bought a lot when I was there. I added photo mats to each page. I went light on the embellishments so that the photos would be the highlight of each page.
It's the weekend and I am so excited! It's been a long week so this will be a much deserved weekend. Hope you have a good one too.
Blessings,
Beth

All Kinds of Sunshine

It was an absolutely beautiful day today. Lots of sunshine, but not as warm as the last two days. Jonas bought a new video game for his Playstation so he's been occupied...giving me lots of time to papercraft! Yeah!! And I finally started to feel some real movement from my baby. I had been feeling butterfly sensations, but last night I started feeling definitive movements. It's such an amazing feeling. I can't wait to meet this baby...waiting is hard!
I made this card for a co-worker. She helped me out BIG TIME this week.

Isn't the bee image so cute?! The bee and the sun are from a Hero Arts clear stamp set. I bought it right after Christmas and hadn't used it. It's a fun set to play with. The clouds are also from a Hero Arts background stamp. I always have a hard time getting a clear image from this stamp...sometimes frustrating, but I still love the stamp.
Blessings,
Beth

Playing with Papertrey

I have a new addiction! I have discovered Papertrey stamps...oh oh! My collection is building...well not much of a collection yet. I love the images and the quality of the stamps. I needed to make two quick cards for a baby shower and for a birthday. I love how the cards came out...I must admit that I got my "inspiration" from the gallery of ideas off the Papertrey product page. The ladies on Papertrey's design team are super talented. It helps to see what they have created when I'm not feeling overly creative and need a card in a hurry!
I used the Baby Buttons Bits stamp set for this card. I cut out the bear and added brown flock to it. I also added glitter to the edges of the die cut and stamped it with a dots Hero Arts background stamp.

For this card, I used the In Blooms stamp set. I love this stamp set. I stamped the flower image twice, cut out the inside part of the second one and adhered it to the larger flower. The larger flower, I added purple glitter to the edges. The smaller one, I added white glitter to the entire surface. I love the effect. I added light green glitter to the leaves. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set.

It's almost the weekend! I am looking forward to it. Not sure what we are going to be up to, but will make sure to get some R&R.

Blessings!
Beth

Switching Over!

I've made the decision to switch over to Blogger from Typepad! I've had some issue with Typepad so I decided to give Blogger a try. And! There are so many cool custom design exculsively for Blogger...so expect a new face to this blog soon.

This is a goodie that I shared a bit ago on my old blog. It's a pregnancy layout. I love the pregnancy themed paper from Creative Imaginations. I'm doing a full 12x12 layout of my pregnancy and so far it has a real fun feel about it.
Will share more soon!
Blessings!
